Have you got a brick wall ahead of you? We love to help with those challenging genealogy obstacles, for publication in the RELATED feature, Ask the Heritage Help Desk. A professional genealogist who specializes in Irish research will give a best effort and provide an answer in a subsequent column. Send your story to info@byancestry.com. Please limit your submissions to 200 words or less, including your name and city, state, country. We regret we cannot publish or respond to every submission. Published submissions will be edited for clarity and length.

We welcome submissions from both professional journalists and amateur genealogy writers. Do you have a story idea for RELATED? Please send your brief proposal, no more than a few paragraphs, with a summary of your intended topic and scope, to RELATED Editor Shelagh Braley Starr, shelagh@byancestry.com.
If your idea is of interest, she will respond with approximate word count and a deadline. One your article is complete, submit via email using Microsoft Word. The editorial team will review and edit for clarity and to conform with RELATED house style. Shortly before publication, you will be given a link to the story for final review. PLEASE NOTE: We do not provide monetary compensation for publication, unless a mutual agreement is made.
